Shouldn't be given to people who abuse it. I've seen more than five locked threads here.

People don't abuse it. When a thread is locked, that means the question is answered, people have taken something too far, or whatever the discussion was about has not had a post in a while.

HOWEVER, I've noticed people locking very old threads (this one should be) and I don't think that should be allowed.
